Living in a foreign environment can be difficult and even frightening, especially for young students who are starting their first year of undergraduate college. The Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow, provides all the necessary amenities and support services on the campus keeping these criteria in mind. The institute offers a variety of support facilities, such as the library, computer centre, gymnasium, dispensary, and so forth, to help students pursue their studies and research without interruption and give them an all-around development, in addition to the basic conveniences like telephones, Internet, and banking services. These facilities are conveniently located and open after regular business hours. Some of the services that are frequently used by students are those of the central library and computer centre.

Computer Centre

The institute has state-of-the-art computer labs with air conditioning and the newest hardware and software. An intranet connects each and every computer. The institute has continuous high bandwidth Internet connectivity. The computational resources are available to students and researchers around-the-clock.

Hostels

The Institute features separate dormitories for males and girls. There are two girls' hostels and six boys' hostels, as well as a continuous backup power supply. 1500 undergraduate and graduate students are housed there. They are managed by committees made up of elected student representatives. On-campus housing is available at all hostels. The dormitory rooms are roomy and nicely equipped.

Gymnasium

To help the students maintain their physical health, a cutting-edge gymnasium has been built. The gymnasium has all contemporary apparatus and is offered separately for boys and girls in the mornings and nights.

Medical Facilities

Since a healthy body contributes to a healthy mind, the Institute offers a dispensary that serves about 2000 people and is a well-organized organisation (including 1700 students and 300 staff members). It consistently delivers all medical services and medications to Institute patients during OPD hours.

Security

The IET in Lucknow has a sizable and effective security force that provides its services to all buildings, including residential areas, gates, and other locations. All places on the site have access to security kiosks, which are in campus.

Bank of Baroda

The Vijaya Bank Branch, a fully-equipped, computerised branch that guarantees immediate deposits and withdrawals, is available to students on campus. This saves the students a significant amount of valuable time.

Auditorium

Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil Sabhagar has a seating configuration for 800 people with acoustic audio-visual amenities. Other services include video conferencing, digital projection, and Wi-Fi facilities. It has an excellent stage to be used for all common functions. It is the central important place to deliver professional seminars, and organize conferences and presentations. This is also a venue for various student cultural events and the annual students’ fest ENCORE. Backstage support and a service room are also available.

Sports Complex

Sports play a huge part in keeping young engineers active and fit. IET is building a sports complex with all the latest amenities. This particular campus sports facility is being built with the idea that students and staff should have easy access to sports. The Sports Complex will have a jogging track, a basketball court, a volleyball court, a cricket field, a lawn tennis court, and more. Additionally, a multipurpose room will be included to accommodate various indoor sports.
